The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience.

Sherwood Libit, MD is a graduate from the University of Illinois and completed his pediatric training at Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago. He then went to the University of Minnesota for a three year fellowship in pediatric nephrology and left in 1973 to fulfill a military draft obligation with the U. S. Navy at the Naval Regional Center, San Diego, California. Following this, he also returned to Michael Reese Hospital to teach and opened the practice in the fall of 1978. The Gurnee office was opened in 1991.

Sharon Libit, MD is a graduate from the University of Illinois and completed her pediatric training at Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago, completing her last year of pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota Hospitals. She then completed a fellowship in neurological handicapping diseases at the University of Minnesota. After practicing with Group Health in Minneapolis for one year she and Dr. Sherwood Libit went to San Diego, California where she worked for the Regional Center for Developmentally Disabled Children, during Dr. Sherwood's two year stay in the Navy. She returned to the Chicago area in 1975 to teach at Michael Reese Hospital in the Department of Pediatrics. She relocated her practice to Vernon Hills, Illinois in 1979, in her present position as both a pediatrician and child neurologist.

Felissa Kreindler, MD graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She completed her pediatric training at Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. After practicing for three years in Warren, Michigan, she moved to Illinois to join Vernon Hills Pediatric Associates, Ltd. She has varied interests including developmental pediatrics and adolescent medicine.

Brian Sapp, MD received his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and completed his pediatric training at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. He has returned to his hometown area to join the practice.

Madhavi Pola, DO grew up in Ohio. She graduated from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her pediatric training at Rush University Children's Hospital in Chicago. She enjoys many aspects of pediatrics and has a special interest in asthma management.
